In 2005 a friend of ours bought a race track in northern Florida and we wanted to help support his venture. Thus the start of, Brown Motorsports, LLC. This was a great opportunity to build something that Debbie, Lauren and I could be a part of and enjoy as a family.

Unknown to us, the idea for Brown Motorsports, LLC started over 50 years ago when my dad, Donald Brown, worked for Brown Motor Company. A Chrysler/Plymouth dealership owned by Verlin Brown (no relation) who entered a race car successfully in the 1950 and 1951 Indianapolis 500's. Being raised in Indianapolis, Debbie and I became attracted to the 500 when we were both young children. Years later, Debbie and I met and shared our love of racing and for several years Debbie and I worked for the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

During the mid-70's my uncle Phil Brown sponsored a Late Model stock car that ran the nothern Indiana circuit. Then in the mid-80's I raced go-karts that ran road courses and Debbie and I sponsored a stock car that raced at a local short track. We moved to Florida in 1997 and quickly become NASCAR fans.

What started as a hobby in 2005, with the support and generosity of a lot of good hearted people, Brown Motorsports has been able to do more than we ever thought possible. Putting on our annual Summer Spectacular is one of them. This is a special eight race series that takes place over eight months. While being interviewed on, Inside Florida Racing radio show, Jack Smith said, " Brown Motorsports is putting fun back into racing".

Our family and sponsors present a giant check and the Brown Motorsports winning checked flag in the winners circle. The sponsor also gets to wave the green flag to start the race. We plan events for the intermission periods and special give-aways for the kids and adults.
